Glass:

Types of Glass:

-- Annealed glass (plate glass, sheet glass).
-- Laminated glass.
-- Toughened glass.
-- Polycarbonate and other plastics.
-- Fiber glass with glass front and variations.

Here I am using Annealed glass (plain type).

Cutting Glass:

The cutting of glass is a process of scoring a line
on the glass with the cutting tools and applying pressure on the two sides by hand or by glass cutting pliers.

The video right side will give you an idea.
The Pictures right side will shows the tools needed to
score line and bend the glass.

Adhesive:

Silicone types:
-- non-acetic (neutral cure).
-- Acetic cure.

Here I am using
RTV Silicone (Room Temperature Vulcanization) Clear Type as shown in the picture.

Construction 1

Making Cover:

Cover can be made by plastic sheet, cardboard, plywood etc,. Here I made the cover with cardboard.
I used CFL lamp(White) as the light source, which is energy efficient and brighter. I added plastic door handles to open the cover for feeding fish and maintenance.

Finishing:

Here on the right shows the finished Fish Tank with added Aquarium Toys, Filters, Heaters and Fishes.

For more see the Videos page.

Added Moon Light:

Moon light provides a cool view of the Fish Tank, so I added the moon light by adding 6 Blue LEDs, 1 Switch and a DC Voltage source. The picture on the right shows the finished moon light.
